CL Seniors

CL Seniors meets the fourth Thursday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in the Church Hall. Beginning with devotions plus coffee and rolls, the Seniors plan activities and service projects, select field trips to take, choose programs and presentations to see. As a group and individually, the CLC Seniors are involved in many church activities (worship assistants, mailing crew, LWR pick-up day, long range planning, quilters, soap drive, greeters, Lenten suppers, properties) and community service events (Rebuilding Together in April, food pantry deliveries, benefits).

CLC Ball Teams

Christ Lutheran adult members have the opportunity to participate in both basketball and softball church leagues. Currently there are 2 CLC men’s basketball teams and 1 co-ed softball team. Historically our teams have relatively successful seasons, but most often is heard how much fun they have had as they get to know each other.

Dinner Group

The CLC Dinner Group is open to all adult members of Christ Lutheran. Gatherings are planned for every other month at members’ homes. These get togethers have taken different formats from appetizers to a BBQ cook-out to an Octoberfest celebration. Often a service project is incorporated into the gathering.

CLC Women

Our women’s group was organized in 2003. Presently we have 5 Circles meeting throughout the year as well as a very active board. The women hold 2 fundraisers a year, which in the past have included an Augsburg Fortress book sale, a Fall Harvest Sale, a Garden & Bake Sale, and a Christmas Cookie Walk. Additionally 2 fellowship events are sponsored by the women yearly. We have enjoyed a Chinese Dinner, a Spring Tea, and “The Greatest Gift of All” Christmas event to name a few. The CLC Women are affiliated with the Women of the ELCA organization. Northwex Newsletter.

Men's Group

Our Men's Group meets on the first Saturday of the month at 8:00 a.m. at the church. They enjoy breakfast (prepared by one of their members), Bible study and fellowship. The men have hosted a Lenten Dinner, attended a work day at Lake Luther and pitched in at a local homeless shelter.

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES

Our Special Actitivites group is given the opportunity to choose and plan up to 4 churchwide social events each year. A Fall Hayride has been a favorite activity for several years. Held at Rogers-Lakewood Park it includes a hayride and bonfire. A church picnic was held in 2005 after a several year hiatus. It was a great day of fellowship, food and fun. 2007 will see another picnic which is already booked for August at the Forest Park Rotary Shelter. Do Somthing Together (as a family) Day was held in March which encouraged families to attend an afternoon of game playing. Whether you like board games, active games, cards, etc. there was something for everyone.
