CL Artisians create ecclesiastical artwork for the church. Examples are flags, banners, altar linens, and chrismons. The creative design and artwork are done to the glory of God, without fanfare or publication.
A group of Christ Lutheran volunteers who send cards of caring to their fellow members. This is a wonderful and easy way to spread Our Lord’s work through our congregation.
quilters and apprentice-quilters from several congregations gather regularly on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. for sewing in the Church Hall. At 11:00 a.m. the Quilters take a short "break" for prayer and devotions. Many bring a sack lunch and work into the afternoon. In addition to CLC quilters, several come from Immanuel (LCMS) in Valpo and Cross of Christ (ELCA) in Lake of Four Seasons. LWR Pick-up Info 2010
Congregation volunteers gather monthly to work on making and assembling layettes for Lutheran World Relief. Throughout the year items are collected, made or bought to enable this group to make as many layettes as possible.
volunteers that collate The Good News (our monthly newsletter) and other mailings from the church. The Mail Crew meets on a Tuesday morning (usually the last Tuesday of the month) at 9:30 a.m. in the CLC Conference Room-Library to collate the newsletter.
Each year the Social Ministry Committee hosts a team or two to participate in the Valparaiso Rebuilding Together day, usually held in April.

The Social Ministry Committee supports Interfaith Immigration and Refugee Ministries yearly as a monthly emphasis during the month of May. Part of the support for IRIM includes a collection of items for Backpacks for immigrants and/or refugees. List of backpack items.
