Nursery Ministry
The Christ Lutheran nursery serves infants and children up to three years old. Nursery Director Kristina Wilburn lovingly calls these children our "Little Blessings". Kristina has begun a "Pre-Sunday School" curriculum in the nursery. A Parent's Home Page is handed out each month with ideas for home activities. In the nursery on Sunday mornings, Kristina focuses on a monthly theme and engages the children in activities related to that theme as age and abilities allow.
Special celebrations at Christmas and Easter are also planned. Pictures below are from Easter "Jesus Lives" Celebration 2011.
Walt Wangerin "Water, Come Down!"
The new nursery (2010) has been lovingly painted by many volunteers with a Noah's Ark theme. The walls are filled with pairs of many different animals. A signature wall (pictured) displays words from Walter Wangerin, Jr.'s book "Water, Come Down!". The nursery was officially dedicated with Walt reading his book to the children and signing the wall.
