Dear Parents of 6th-12th grade students,
CLC will be attending Quake this year in the Wisconsin Dells! And we need to register SOON! Below are a few pieces of information relating to Quake for this year:
What is Quake: Quake is a weekend-long retreat that is held in a hotel in various cities throughout the country. Quake is specifically created for youth that are in 6th-12th grade and encourages teens to "become established in their faith, empowered for Christian living, and enabled to live a life of ministry and leadership." Each year focuses on a different theme, and this year's theme is "Anchored," with the focus verse of Hebrews 6:19.
Quake Location: We will be attending Quake in Wisconsin Dells this year.
Quake Dates: February 13th-15th. VCS, Duneland, and WTS schools all have no school on Friday the 13th. We will leave at 12:30pm on that Friday and arrive at the Dells by 4:30. Quake ends at 10:30am on Sunday and we will be spending the afternoon at the Wilderness Resort water park. Our return to CLC will be in the evening on the 15th.
Quake Cost: The cost before scholarships is $450. However, if you volunteered at events such as Popcorn Fest, LLP Carnival, LWR truck loading, or help out with Silent Auction, you have the opportunity to have up to $100 covered, bringing the cost to $350. An upcoming opportunity for a scholarship is assisting with Silent Auction phone calls on November 23rd after the 10:30am service.
Deadline: We will need to know by November 11 if your child is attending in order for us to get the early bird discount. Please fill out this registration form and send your $99 deposit by November 11 by either dropping off a check or by credit card payment at the link provided in the registration form.
More information: A sample schedule and more info is included below. An informational meeting for interested CLC students and parents will be held on Tuesday, November 4th at 7pm through Google Meet to answer any questions you might have.
